More importantly, SDSers and other student organizers are being invited to William & Mary this Saturday to participate in this grassroots act of resistance, and to show the oligarchs on the Board of Visitors that the student voice is a force to be reckoned with. From the email:

Hundreds of Students Strike in Québec

Students in Québec are again mobilizing around rising tuition fees. In particular, organization has been intense at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). UQAM, a public university in the heart of Montréal founded in 1968, is itself the result of past student militancy around accessibility issues for working-class Montréalers. UQAM's radical pedigree has not been lost on current students.

Members and supporters of the Baltimore Algebra Project in AnnapolisThe Baltimore Algebra Project is a student-led inter-school coalition of inner city youths in Baltimore, MD. Originally formed as a study group to help students learn after school, it has grown into an activist organization fighting for the right to a good education in inner-cities.
